Bidding farewell to the last 365 days. What a year! It has been full of a lot of hardship, adversity, questions, unknowns, fear and tears.
But, we have also seen solidarity, love, support, friendship, lots of walking.... and community. The community of Inhale has held me up at times I struggled to place one foot in front of the other this year and for that I am eternally grateful.
Within the Inhale community, 20% of people have lost a loved one this year. As a wider community our local families have had loved ones take their own life and astronomical numbers of people struggle with their mental health. This year has been anything but kind to so many people.
But what Kiama as a town and the Inhale group of clientele does best, is community. This year we have seen just how strong that community can be and I am proud to have 4 walls within it, where people can be held, listened to and supported in their times of need.
This year, like all years, I have seen the beauty of humanity, I have seen the good in people, I have seen beautiful and exciting chapters arising for so many people I adore. Engagements, birthdays, pregnancies, babies, business adventures and house purchases and builds. It is an incredible joy to share in these momentous and wonderful times with people I so dearly love.
So here’s to looking forward to 2021. My wish for us all is to celebrate the small victories, to count our blessings, however small, each and every day, to move our bodies from a place of love, to get into nature as often as possible, to appreciate the wonderful people in our life, to strive and drive towards worthy goals and aspirations, but to never forget to be grateful for the present moment.
Thank you for standing by me personally and supporting Inhale throughout both our ups and downs this year. I genuinely mean this, I really do not think I could have done it without your love and support.
Let’s go 2021! I’m ready for you!
Happy New Year my dear friends.
All my love, as always...
